Bill Clinton, the former president, was hospitalized due to a fever
Urena, the deputy chief of staff, said that former President Bill Clinton was admitted to the hospital in Washington due to a fever.
After getting a fever on Monday, former President Bill Clinton was sent to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington.
Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, Angel Urena, said in a statement that he was admitted to the hospital in the afternoon for observation and tests.
“He’s still in a good mood and really appreciates the great care he’s getting,” Urena said.
Clinton, a Democrat who was president from January 1993 to January 2001, recently spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and ran a campaign for Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed attempt for the White House in November.
Clinton has had many health issues since leaving office. He had quadruple bypass surgery in 2004 as a result of chronic chest discomfort and dyspnea. He had two stents placed in a coronary artery in 2010 after returning to the hospital in 2005 for surgery on a partly collapsed lung.
Clinton responded to these health problems by switching to a mostly vegan diet, which helped her lose a lot of weight and get healthier. During the peak of the pandemic in 2021, he spent six days in a California hospital for an infection unrelated to COVID-19.
Clinton had a urological infection at the time, which had spread to his bloodstream, according to the former president’s assistant. Clinton did not enter septic shock and was said to be recuperating well despite the seriousness of the situation. Although he was in the hospital’s critical care unit, he didn’t need ICU treatment.
