Earl Thomas’ ex-wife was arrested for allegedly stealing millions of dollars from him, including money for breast implants

Nina Thomas, the estranged wife of former NFL player Earl Thomas, has been taken into custody on suspicion of embezzling millions from him.

According to TMZ, the Seahawks defensive back alleges that Nina scammed him of about $3 million in cash and assets.

According to court records, Nina started depleting his finances soon after he filed for divorce in 2020. She allegedly moved assets under her own name with the assistance of a co-conspirator. She shockingly reportedly spent over $2.7 million, in part for a Hermes Birkin bags and breast enhancements.

Charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft, Nina was taken into custody earlier this week.

This is only the most recent development in a relationship that is already turbulent. When Nina discovered Earl in bed with two women and his brother, she allegedly held him at gunpoint and filed for divorce in November 2020. Then, after Earl allegedly struck her while intoxicated in 2021, she was given a restraining order.

Kevin J. Thompson, Nina’s new boyfriend, was jailed in 2023 for using Earl’s identity in a $1.9 million scam. Thompson is alleged to have depleted Earl’s bank accounts, transferred ownership of his vehicles, and cashed his NFL cheques.

After playing for the Seahawks for nine seasons and the Ravens for one, Earl’s career ended abruptly in 2020 when Baltimore cut his contract due to “personal conduct that adversely affected” the franchise.
