Rashford is better for Man United, according to manager Amorim during exit negotiations

Coach Ruben Amorim stated on Wednesday that Marcus Rashford is a better fit for Manchester United after the attacker stated he was prepared for a fresh challenge when questioned about his future at the Old Trafford club.

In Sunday’s derby against Manchester City, which United won 2-1 in a thrilling match at the Etihad Stadium, the 27-year-old England international was left off of United’s roster.

Alejandro Garnacho, a 20-year-old winger for Argentina, was also left out of the team for the Premier League match. Amorim, the new manager, later stated that his decisions were made mostly to hold his players to high standards.

Amorim told reporters prior to Thursday’s journey to Tottenham Hotspur for the League Cup quarterfinal, “I don’t talk about the future, we talk about the present.”

“With Marcus Rashford, we perform better. He is a great talent, which is what this kind of club needs.

“Rashford and Garnacho are in the same predicament as the other players, and we have one more training session left. We must decide if they train effectively.

Rashford, who has played for United since he was seven years old and has 60 caps for England, has scored 138 goals in 426 games since making his senior debut in 2016.

Rashford signed a new five-year contract with United last year after winning the Europa League, two FA Cups, and the League Cup twice. However, he has been linked to leaving the team.

When he visited his former school on Tuesday to distribute Christmas gifts, he discussed the topic and declared that he was prepared for the next phase.

“My goal is to outperform Marcus Rashford… I’m hoping for the best from everyone of them. Amorim stated, “I just want to win and improve the team.”

“It’s that easy: Marcus Rashford is better for us. To push Rashford to the highest heights he has previously demonstrated to me, we will experiment with various strategies.”
