Megan Thee Stallion requests a restraining order against Tory Lanez
A restraining order against Tory Lanez has been filed by Megan Thee Stallion.
After shooting fellow rapper Megan, 29, in the foot in July 2020, the 32-year-old Canadian rapper, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence. Megan claims that he is still causing her “trauma” from behind bars by allegedly enlisting third parties to spread false accusations about the incident online.
A protective order was in effect from 2020 to 2023 for the “WAP” hitmaker, whose real name is Megan Pete. She is requesting the restraining order to safeguard her “wellbeing” because she fears for her safety after he is released from prison.
Even now, while incarcerated, Mr. Peterson exhibits no symptoms of abating, according to the petition submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court.
“Ms. Peterson continues to re-victimize and traumatize her despite receiving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting her.”
After Elizabeth Milagro Cooper was allegedly hired by Lanez to harass her online, Megan filed a harassment lawsuit against her in October.
The 29-year-old celebrity talked candidly about the experience in the “Megan The Stallion: Her Words” documentary on Prime Video, revealing that she suffered a mental breakdown before to his sentencing.
“I really had a breakdown,” she claimed. My life didn’t seem to have any purpose. I was unable to breathe, so I had to dial 911. I felt like I was going to die.
“I spent three days in bed.” All I did was cry every day. Suicidal thoughts and feelings were not something I would have ever experienced. “I’d rather not have to live with this than have to go through it,” I thought.
Because of the cyberbullying she experienced, Megan disclosed that she now has a fear of performing live.
