F Julie Dufour signs a three-year contract with Angel City FC

French forward Julie Dufour signed a three-year contract with Angel City Football Club through 2027 on Tuesday.

The team did not reveal the financial conditions for Dufour, who joined Angel City from Paris FC.

The 23-year-old Dufour will hold one of ACFC’s foreign positions.

Mark Wilson, technical director of ACFC, stated that “Julie Dufour’s decision to join Angel City FC is a landmark moment for both the club and the league.” “Her decision to join the NWSL and Angel City in spite of intense interest from elite European teams, including Champions League teams, says a lot about the expansion of our league and the popularity of Angel City and the NWSL around the world.

“The fact that a young European player of Julie’s level chooses this route is indicative of how women’s football is changing. As Julie embarks on this new phase of her career, we are excited to have her join our team and support her further development.”

Dufour scored 19 goals in 41 games for Paris FC in all competitions. Additionally, she had 14 goals in the six seasons prior, split between Lille and Bordeaux.
