Sean “Diddy” Combs will stay behind bars until his 2025 trial

Sean “Diddy” Combs has withdrawn his bail request and will stay in custody until his trial in May 2025.

Three times before, on September 17, the day after his arrest on allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering, on September 18, and most recently on November 27, the 55-year-old music entrepreneur had been refused bail.

Diddy has now chosen to withdraw his bail pleas and will be in jail until his trial begins on May 5, 2025, according to court documents that PEOPLE was able to access.

Since his indictment in September, he has been incarcerated on charges of being the head of a “criminal enterprise.” He “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct,” according to the allegation.

After his attorneys complained to a federal judge, Diddy was recently given daily access to a laptop while incarcerated.

The MDC is required to provide the Defendant with access to the Discovery Laptop seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, according to a ruling written by Judge Arun Sibramanian and acquired by E! News.

“This could be in the VTC room or the visiting room in his unit.”

The judge emphasized, nevertheless, that the laptop should not be used “to take or store notes.”

“The laptop has been pre-loaded with discovery materials, but it does not permit any functionality beyond reviewing those materials,” the order further stated.

The founder of Bad Boy Records and his legal team would have to speak with the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) about his desire for “broader access” to his laptop and “consider any reasonable proposals in good faith.”

“The Court will consider adjustments to this order if there are further disputes,” the judge continued.

Any additional suggestions, though, “should be mindful” of the information on the computer and the fact that Combs is “not isolated in his unit.”

Combs’ attorneys had already asserted that he had been subjected to “untenable” laptop-related limitations.

The government has also been accused by Combs’ team of attempting to monitor his handwritten notes.

Attorneys said that after investigators confiscated the discredited hip-hop mogul’s cell, prosecutors had received attorney-client private material from it that lists witnesses and possible tactics, thereby violating their clients’ Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment rights.

Diddy has refuted allegations of transportation to engage in prostitution, sex trafficking by force, deception, or coercion, and racketeering conspiracy.
