Jay-Z says the case against him for rape is “false”
Jay-Z has stated that his accuser of rape’s admission that her accusations against him contained “mistakes” “proves” her case is “false.”
The 55-year-old is in shock after the lady filed a lawsuit against him and Sean “Diddy” Combs, claiming they raped her in 2000 when she was 13 years old.
In an interview with NBC News, the Alabama woman, who in her court complaint was only identified as Jane Doe, came forward and described the alleged sexual assault as a “catastrophic event.”
However, throughout the conversation, she admitted to three contradictions in her story of the night she claims to have been raped at an after-party after the MTV Video Music Awards.
In a recent statement, Jay-Z stated: “(The) investigative report demonstrates that this ‘attorney’ (Tony) Buzbee falsified a complaint against me in an attempt to gain prominence and money.”
“He filed it in court and doubled down in the press even though this incident didn’t occur. Justice will be served.
We don’t fight for triumph; we fight FROM it. It was over before it started. Though not yet, this 1-800 lawyer will soon understand it.
“It is astounding that a lawyer would not only file such a serious complaint without proper vetting, but would further exacerbate the situation by spreading this false story in the media,” Jay’s legal team also blasted in a statement provided to Page Six.
“We are requesting that the Court dismiss this pointless case today, and we will pursue further disciplinary action against Mr. Buzbee and all of the attorneys who filed the complaint.”
Mr. Buzbee, of Texas, is defending over 120 men and women who allege that Combs, 55, sexually abused them.
Additionally, Jay claims that the lawyer is attempting “blackmail” by bringing the lawsuit.
The rapper’s accuser admitted three discrepancies in her story of what allegedly transpired the night she claims to have been raped at an afterparty after the MTV Video Music Awards in a recent interview.
Because of her conversation, Jay-Z’s attorney Alex Spiro has now filed a legal petition asking for the lawsuit to be dismissed as soon as possible.
