Shaw of Manchester United sustains a new injury

Manchester United’s left back Luke Shaw reported that less than two weeks after he resumed playing, he experienced yet another injury setback.

Due to injuries, the England defender has missed a significant portion of this season. According to British media, he developed a new issue during training that might keep him out of action for weeks.

In a social media post on Tuesday, the 29-year-old, who missed the season’s opening game because of a calf injury, said he had experienced a little setback.

“I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs but this has definitely been my toughest period,” he stated. “I’m absolutely devastated and it’s extremely tough to come to terms with reality at this moment in time.”

Shaw, who had been sidelined for almost four months due to a muscular injury he sustained in February, made two subsequent substitute appearances after coming off the bench during United’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town on November 24.

Later on Wednesday, United, currently ranked ninth in the Premier League, will travel to Arsenal, who are currently in second place.
