Four NSCDC Officers Die in an Attack by Boko Haram

Four NSCDC officers were killed when Boko Haram attacked them with violence. This was a terrible security event.

Four police officers were killed when they were attacked by thieves in the Farin-Kasa area of Chukun Local Government Area in Kaduna State, according to the Nigeria Standards and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).

On November 18, the agency said that seven cops were missing after being attacked by people they thought were members of Boko Haram.

Afolabi Babawale, a spokesman for the NSCDC, said that the attack happened while the team was checking out the national grid plant in Shiroro, Niger State.

Four of the seven cops who went missing were found dead, Afolabi said in a statement made on Friday. He also said that two cops had come back hurt and that one was still missing after the event.

“As of today, four of the seven missing officers’ bodies had been found. Two men had returned to base without being hurt, but one person is still missing in action,” he said.

Ahmed Audi, who is the Commandant-General of the NSCDC, told the soldiers and staff of the Corps that he was sorry for their loss.

“Ahmed Audi, commandant general of the NSCDC, praised the operatives’ bravery, gallantry, and courage during the ambush and promised that the Corps would pay for all of their medical bills and other needs.”

“He also condemned the bloody terrorist attack and called it a brutal and devastating act of violence that should not be allowed to fester because so many security officers were killed,” Afolabi said.

People were also asked to help the Corps and other security agencies protect people and property, according to the Commandant-General.
