Rapper Diddy was denied bail for the third time

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ third request for bail was turned down.

The 54-year-old rapper was arrested on September 16 on federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He is currently being held at a notoriously harsh New York jail. He has made several requests to be released on a $50 million bond and to be held on a private island before his trial.

Combs’ most recent bail request was turned down at a meeting on Wednesday led by federal judge Arun Subramanian. This was after the singer made a bail request during a court appearance on November 22.

“The court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community,” the judge said when telling Combs he could not get bail again.

Prosecutors have said that if Combs were to get out of jail, he might mess with witnesses because they say the founder of Bad Boy Records has tried to scare witnesses while he was in jail.

In a court document, they said, “the defendant’s goal is to silence victims and witnesses or get them to give testimony that will help his defense.”

Combs’ defense team said the prosecution’s case was “thin,” and they have suggested a $50 million bail deal with strict release conditions that would make it impossible for Combs to talk to anyone other than his lawyers and would require tracking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All of the claims against Combs are false.

There were claims that Combs abused his staff, which led to the bail rejection.

In a letter to Judge Subramanian, the prosecutors said that workers had “described the defendant threatening to kill them” and “throwing objects at them.” They also said that the rapper had “struck, punched, and shoved” them.
