Gabrielle Union, an actress, leaves X

Citing the return of “volatile” users to the app and modifications to the terms of service, which include all tweets, videos, and images being made available to train the artificial intelligence bot Grok, the “Bring It On” actress has decided that “enough is enough” and is withdrawing from the social media site.

“There are crucial times in life when we have to say enough is enough—and for me, today is that day,” she said in her last post.

“Authentic relationships, genuine interaction, and creative expression—all rooted in respect for user privacy and trust—were the foundation of platforms such as X.

However, I am at a crossroads and must choose a course that I can no longer completely support in light of the recent and impending modifications to the terms of service—as well as the return of volatile figures.

“I’m determined to participate in online communities that genuinely promote integrity, inclusivity, and respect. That occasionally entails identifying the final straw and knowing when to leave.

However, Gabrielle assured followers that she will continue to use other sites.

“Thank you to everyone I’ve connected with here for the laughs, the insights, and the unending support,” she continued. I am not totally vanishing!

“You can still find me @gabunion on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky, and Spill, which are all linked in my bio. There, we can keep fostering positive energy and deep connections.(sic)

“God, please give me the peace to accept the things I cannot change,” she wrote. the guts to make the changes I can. and the discernment to recognize the distinction.

Her choice was made just hours after Donald Trump, the president-elect, declared he would name Musk to head his new Department of Government Efficiency.
