Skai Jackson, a former Disney star, is expecting her first child

Skai Jackson is expecting a child.

The actress, 22, has not yet revealed the identity of the man she is seeing, but on Tuesday she revealed that they are expecting their first child together.

“I’m excited to start this new chapter in my life — embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects,” she told People magazine. My heart is overflowing.

In the early 2010s, the former child star costarred with Debbie Ryan as Zuri Ross on the Disney Channel sitcom “Jessie.” She later reprised the character in the spin-off “Bunk’d.”

Skai’s good news follows a challenging summer during which she was detained on charges of domestic abuse.

Police were called to Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles in August after security noticed Skai and her boyfriend fighting, leading to the former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant’s arrest.

The office of the Los Angeles County DA, however, later decided not to charge her.

“Skai is relieved that the investigation showed that this was nothing more than a misunderstanding,” a Skai representative stated. We value the DA’s prompt decision that there should be no charges brought against Skai, and she is eager to move on from this.

Skai pushed her partner “more than once,” according to an earlier TMZ report, and the two were held by security until police could come.

According to reports, Skai and her boyfriend told police they were engaged and denied ever getting into a physical altercation.

According to the sheriff’s office at the time, there were no weapons used and no visible injuries.

In the past, Skai and her unidentified lover had avoided making their relationship public.
