Sean “Diddy” Combs requests that prospective witnesses refrain from participating in interviews

Sean “Diddy” Combs has requested that a judge exclude prospective witnesses from testifying regarding the accusations made against him.

Citing one potential witness in particular, the 54-year-old rapper and his legal team filed a motion on Sunday asking the court to expedite the process of responding to the request to restrict statements made outside of court. The rapper was arrested in September on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He is also facing numerous civil lawsuits.

The “I’ll Be Missing You” singer claimed that his remarks were false and defamatory in an interview with TMZ on Thursday, October 31, which was one of several interviews he has given in recent days with his attorney, Ariel Mitchell.

TMZ was informed by Ariel Courtney was called to testify because he had seen or owned explicit videos of the disgraced music mogul and his famous friends, but Combs’ attorneys specifically referenced articles from another publication that falsely claimed the rapper’s alleged “Freak Offs” involved “parties” and “men.”

The government has been looking into the rapper for nearly a year, according to the court documents, and they know that the alleged Freak Offs did not involve men, minors, or parties. They also claimed that by failing to treat these claims as a “extortion scam,” online conspiracies are being fueled, and as a result, it is becoming increasingly difficult for their client to stand trial.

Despite being jailed on a federal charge in September, Combs has denied any wrongdoing on numerous occasions.

He pleaded not guilty and is being jailed without bail.

In addition, he stated a few weeks ago that the “truth will prevail” following the filing of six additional civil claims, four of which included male claimants, and one of whom claimed that he was 16 years old when he received an invitation to one of Combs’ parties in 1998.

The 1-800 number and press conference that followed today’s flurry of filings were obviously attempts to generate publicity, according to a statement from the musician’s attorneys.

“Mr. Combs and his legal team are completely confident in the facts, their defenses, and the fairness of the justice system.

“The truth—that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone, adult or child, man or woman—will win out in court.”
