Nelly says he and Ashanti are negotiating to move to Las Vegas

Ashanti and Nelly have been “in talks” about moving to Las Vegas.

When asked about the possibility of a long-running show in Sin City, the 50-year-old rapper acknowledged that they had been in talks about “that very thing” and hinted that it might happen in the future. The couple has been married since 2023 and recently welcomed a 4-month-old son, Kareem, with Ashanti, 44, the “Rock Wit U” hitmaker.

“It’s funny, there were talks not too long ago about that very thing,” he said to “Entertainment Tonight.” I won’t go into too much detail, but I hope everything keeps going in the right direction. She and I both adore Vegas. For rather different reasons, we both like Vegas.

The singer of “Hot in Herre” and his spouse will be joining Adele, Britney Spears, and Katy Perry, who have all performed in the popular tourist city in recent years, if they decide to take the stage together.

Both musicians achieved popularity in the early 2000s, with Nelly penning hits including “Ride Wit Me” and “Dilemma,” which notably included Kelly Rowland, a former member of Destiny’s Child.

Nelly and fellow rapper Akon even worked together on Ashanti’s song “Body On Me.”

After releasing “Foolish” in 2002, Ashanti went on to release six studio albums, although she hasn’t put out a whole album since 2014.

She stated that she simply wanted to return to her origins with the career change when she released the stand-alone songs “Baby” with Aitch and “Falling for You” in 2022.

“I’m really excited to be releasing more music,” she stated. I believe I’ve reached a point where I want to explore new things for myself. I adore Soca music, reggae music, and Afrobeats. You want to express your creative energy as an artist, don’t you? However, I’m undoubtedly returning to my R&B origins.
