At least for him, Young Thug’s RICO trial is now over, and he is now free. Thugger’s well-known YSL RICO case came to an end on Thursday, October 31. Fulton County Judge Paige Reese Whitaker handed down Thugger’s punishment.

Thug was sentenced to five years in prison, which was eventually converted to time served, despite the prosecution’s valiant efforts to get him to serve 45 years—25 years in detention and 20 years on probation. A conditional 20-year sentence that is “backloaded” will be served with the remaining 15 years on probation.
The court stated during the hearing, “The total sentence is 40 years, to serve the first 5 years in prison but commuted to the time you’ve already served.”

During the proceedings, Thug was even permitted to talk about his newfound freedom. As he stood with his attorney, Brian Steel, Thug discussed responsibility and begged the judge to recognize his positive traits on his new path.

“I accept complete responsibility for my offenses and charges. I want to apologize to my mom and my family.I’m a good guy, I’m intelligent, and I have a good heart, you know. Williams told the judge, “I find myself in a lot of stuff because I was just nice or cool.” “I hope you’ll let me go home today and have faith in my ability to act morally.I swear to you that I will never again find myself in this kind of predicament.
