One person was killed and several others were trapped when a 10-story hotel in Argentina collapsed

Several individuals are believed to be stranded beneath the debris, and a hotel in Argentina has collapsed, resulting in one fatality.

One confirmed fatality and numerous individuals believed to be stranded beneath the debris have been the outcome of a hotel collapse in Villa Gesell, Argentina.

According to reports, the Dubrovnik Hotel, which spans ten stories, collapsed at the cracks early on Tuesday. It is believed that the hotel, which was in the process of undergoing restorations, was home to a maximum of 15 individuals at the time of the incident.

Rescue teams are currently on the scene, attempting to liberate individuals who may be confined. According to local sources, the collapse resulted in the death of an elderly individual in his eighties.

The renovations were proceeding without the requisite permits, prompting the municipal authorities to order a cessation to the construction work in August. In spite of this, neighbors reported that work persisted in violation of the suspension order.

Patricia Bullrich, Argentina’s National Security Minister, announced on X that two specialized rescue teams, consisting of structural engineers, rescue specialists, and a dog unit trained to respond to collapsed structures, had been dispatched to the location in Buenos Aires province. The squads are equipped with specialized apparatus and resources to facilitate the rescue operations.

Javier Alonso, the Security Minister of the province, reported to local radio that four bricklayers who were employed at the site had survived the collapse and were subsequently apprehended by the police.
