Xavi Hernandez has been contacted by Manchester United
Erik ten Hag has not been at Manchester United for very long and is still under consideration following yet another difficult start to the season. In fact, Xavi Hernandez has already been contacted by club administration as a possible successor.
Every month, Manchester United’s games and outcomes are consistent with one another. Erik ten Hag is still having trouble this season, even though he miraculously survived at the end of the previous one, particularly because of his FA Cup victory over Manchester City. In the league, Porto has already suffered two crushing losses to Liverpool and Tottenham (3-0), and this draw in the Europa League was a steal. The lackluster win against Brentford last weekend did not reassure either.
Despite spending €215 million on the transfer match this summer, the Red Devils are already far from the top of the Premier League, sitting in 12th place, six points off the podium, and will not compete for the championship unless they have a spectacular comeback. As is the case at nearly every press conference, the Dutch coach’s future is being questioned once more. Four days earlier, the interested party said, rather irritated, “The noise only comes from the media, from some of you, not all, creating stories and fairy tales, telling lies because I know we are on the same wavelength within this club.”
Manchester United members contacted Xavi twice.
Even though Erik ten Hag appears to have a lot of credit despite his team’s terrible performances, the fact remains that he will not be able to hold onto his position at this rate. The names of Gareth Southgate and Thomas Tuchel, who will finally assume charge of the English team on January 1st, were mentioned at the close of the previous season. It has been a few days since another coach was named, and he is a bit of a surprise. The most recent information from the Daily Mail indicates that it belongs to Xavi Hernandez. In recent weeks, representatives from the English club have made two attempts to get in touch with the latter.
Last Thursday, a four-person group headed by general manager Omar Berrada even took a plane to Barcelona. Several meetings were held in the Catalan capital, and they weren’t just to support the Ineos Britannia team, who lost to New Zealand in the America’s Cup final. Ten Hag’s immediate future is not yet in jeopardy, according to the media outlet, but fresh setbacks against Fenerbahçe and West Ham might make things change. Xavi, who speaks English and hasn’t had a club since leaving Barça in June, doesn’t see himself staying in Spain.
