The UAE president informs Putin that we are prepared to assist in resolving the Ukraine conflict

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, informed Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday that he was prepared to assist in efforts to bring about peace in Ukraine.

Putin held informal conversations with Sheikh Mohammed at his home outside of Moscow on Sunday, which lasted till midnight.

Through a translator, Sheikh Mohammed informed Putin in the Kremlin that “we continue to make efforts to mediate the exchange of prisoners.”

“And I promise that we will keep working in this manner. We are prepared to do all it takes to end conflicts and promote peace for the benefit of both parties.

Sheikh Mohammed and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have both received plaudits from Putin in the past for their attempts to mediate the situation in Ukraine.
