Report: Moses Moody, a guard with the Warriors, gets a three-year, $39 million extension

According to an ESPN report on Sunday, guard Moses Moody and the Golden State Warriors reached an agreement on a three-year, $39 million extension.

In 66 games last season, Moody, who is in the last year of his rookie deal, averaged a career-high 8.1 points. After the Warriors lost experienced shooting guard Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks in free agency, he is anticipated to play a larger role this season.

The 22-year-old guard, who was chosen with the 14th choice in the 2021 NBA Draft, shot 39.4 percent from outside the arc and 45.6 percent from the field to average 15.5 points during the preseason.

Moody, who is starting his fourth season, has played in 181 games and averages 5.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.7 assists.
