Leading up to the election, Harris will engage in a critical interview with Bret Baier of Fox News
Vice President Kamala Harris will participate in an interview with Bret Baier on Fox News, which will denote a change in her campaign strategy.
In Pennsylvania, Vice President Kamala Harris will participate in an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier on Wednesday as she intensifies her engagement with media outlets and travels during the final stages of the presidential campaign.
This will be her initial interview with the network and her first interview with a news outlet outside of her ideological comfort zone since the Democratic nomination.
Harris has previously consented to interviews with CNN and CBS’ 60 Minutes, as well as with ABC’s “The View” and Howard Stern’s radio program.
The majority of the interviews were conducted within the last two weeks, which is a departure from her intention to refrain from engaging with the media during the initial stages of her campaign.
An interview with Fox News is scheduled to be broadcast at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Fox News’ primary political anchor, Baier, is one of the few prominent figures on the network whose identity is not linked to conservative commentary.
Harris has attempted to counteract Republican nominee Donald Trump’s criticism of her refusal to participate in interviews during her candidacy early on. On Sunday in Greenville, N.C., Harris criticized him for declining to participate in a “60 Minutes” interview and for failing to disclose his medical records.
“You are left to ponder the reason why his staff desires for him to remain concealed.”Said she. “One must inquire: Are they apprehensive that the public will perceive him as having insufficient strength and stability to serve as the leader of the United States?” “Is that the situation?”
