“All I Want For Christmas Is You” is being re-released by Mariah Carey To commemorate the 30th anniversary

All I Want For Christmas is You is set to be re-released by Mariah Carey.

The 55-year-old singer initially released the Yule Tide hit in October 1994, which served as the first single from her holiday album “Merry Christmas.” In honor of the song’s 30th anniversary, she is re-releasing it, along with a new version of the album.

The R’n’B music icon announced the news on her Instagram account and reimagined the album cover, which depicts her in a jumpsuit inspired by Santa Claus and adorned with fur.

“While it is certainly not yet time to listen to Christmas music, I wanted to share a glimpse of #MerryChristmas30 with you!” her post read. When it was released in 1994, the “Merry Christmas” LP was an enormous success, selling 15 million copies.

Mariah and producer Walter Afanasieff collaborated on the composition of “All I Want For Christmas is You” while they were crafting three original songs for the “Merry Christmas” album.

The composition, which reportedly required only 15 minutes to write and compose, is estimated to generate $600,000 in royalties annually for Mariah.

In addition, Mariah is embarking on a Christmas tour of North America.

Starting with an opening night at the Yaamava Theatre in Highland, California, on November 6, the vocalist will return to the United States for 20 dates in her annual Christmas extravaganza.

The tour will continue in November with stops in Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Illinois. Subsequently, in December, she will travel to Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, and New Jersey.

Mariah’s tour will conclude with two performances in New York City: a concert at UBS Arena in Belmont Park on December 15 and a final performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on December17.
