Charlamagne Tha God Thinks There Was A Conspiracy Against Michael Jackson Because He Had “Too Much Power”

“He’s the one person I believe that they killed his reputation and, ultimately, killed him.”

The Chaldean That God thinks Michael Jackson might be the only celebrity who has ever been the target of a conspiracy. The talking head made an appearance on a recent episode of the Brilliant Idiots podcast, where he discussed his views, amid internet conspiracy theories suggesting that Diddy or possibly Drake are the target of conspiracy theories. Charlamagne started out by talking about how certain celebs can be under attack “from the corporations.” Subsequently, he challenged that notion, claiming that not too many people are “important enough” to be the target of serious plots and assassinations. But one person did rise to enough prominence to become a target: Michael Jackson.

“And while I am aware that this is a ridiculous conspiracy idea, I genuinely mean it when I say this. I think there’s just one person in Hollywood that people really plotted to bring down. I am referring to a widespread conspiracy. People conspire whenever they pull you down because it’s typically because you did something bad, according to Charlamagne. “I think Michael Jackson was the one who they really took down because he had too much power,” the speaker said.

Then, CTG realized that actor Deon Cole had appeared on The Breakfast Club lately, sharing a Paul McCartney story. Cole mentioned McCartney explaining to MJ that he was the one who taught him about music publishing rights. Michael had become so successful before Paul realized that he had ended up purchasing The Beatles collection.

According to Charlamagne, people started “targeting him” because Michael Jackson had too much power in the music business. For context, Jackson owned the catalogs of many artists, including Bob Dylan, Eminem, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles, thanks to his 50% ownership in Sony ATV.

“I genuinely think that… The other day, Deon Cole was on The Breakfast Club. Paul McCartney told Deon Cole how he got high, and Deon told us about it,” he said. “Michael and Paul McCartney were fantastic in the past. “Hey, you got to get your business together, you got to get your business right,” Paul was saying to Michael. He explained the publishing game to him. Michael eventually became so successful that he acquired The Beatles’ publishing. Sony handed Michael Jackson half of their publishing company in exchange for ownership of The Beatles’ catalog since The Beatles’ publishing was so valuable.

“Consider how strong a Black man can be if he controls the majority of the publishing in the music industry. And in certain instances, was even returning part of the artists’ publishing rights. Little Richard received his publishing back from him. It’s unclear how many individuals he affected by it, but he restored Little Richard’s publishing career. This is all conspiracy theory, I think. By the way, this is Brilliant Idiots; we’re just having a podcast conversation.

The talking head declared, “I think they had to remove Michael Jackson because he had too much power in the music industry and too much control over the most valuable asset in music, which is people’s publishing.” “You know, smear his name and finally get him up and out of here. And in 2016, they received their luggage for a lot less money than they most likely would have if he had been living. That one individual is him. Talking about how Bill Cosby attempted to purchase NBC is ridiculous. The one person in the entertainment industry—note that I emphasized entertainment—that I believe in is [MJ]. In other, more important businesses, conspiracies are commonplace. However, he’s the one person in the entertainment business who, in my opinion, had his reputation destroyed and who was ultimately killed.
