Jimmy Carter becomes the first former president of the United States to celebrate his 100th birthday, marking a significant milestone

Jimmy Carter became the first past US president to turn 100 years old on Tuesday.

The first former US president to hit the 100-year mark was Jimmy Carter, who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday.

According to the office of the First Lady, Carter’s 100th birthday will be celebrated with a display on the North Lawn of the White House that includes the number “100” and the words “Happy Birthday President Carter.” They are going to put up the show in the morning of Tuesday, October 1, and it will stay there at the North Lawn until the end of the day.

As a touching tribute, President Joe Biden recently shared a video in which he celebrated former President Jimmy Carter’s 100th birthday.

Biden wanted to wish the person a happy 100th birthday on behalf of the Biden family and all Americans. “Mr. President, you have always represented morality for our country and the world.”

“Your moral clarity throughout your career came through once more.” By working with the Carter Center and Habitat for Humanity, you’re resolving problems, promoting democracy, stopping disease, and doing a lot more. The vice president also said, “It’s changing people’s lives all over the world, not just here at home.”

Although the 100-year-old has been receiving hospice care at home in Plains, Georgia for the past 19 months, he continues to do more than anyone expected. This toughness matches his amazing journey from a family peanut farm and warehouse business to the world stage. In addition to being president from 1977 to 1981, Carter has been in charge of The Carter Center since 1982, when he started it with his wife Rosalynn.

Jimmy Carter was a key figure in almost eradicating Guinea worm disease, a crippling parasite that affected about 3.5 million people in the mid-1980s. According to The Carter Center, there were only 14 cases reported in 2023.

The 22nd anniversary of Carter’s receiving the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 is this year. He started an unheard-of trip to Cuba that same year. Furthermore, the former president said in 2015 that four tumors had spread to his brain. Later, in December of that year, after treatment, he was declared cancer-free.
