Norway asks other countries to search for a person who is connected to the exploding pagers
According to Norwegian police on Thursday, Rinson Jose, a man who is both Norwegian and Indian, has been searched all over the world because he is suspected of selling pagers to the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, which went off last week.
Francisco, 39, went missing last week while on a business trip to the United States. He helped start a business in Bulgaria that was said to be in the pager supply chain.
When asked about the pager case, Oslo police said in an email to Reuters, “Yesterday, September 25, the Oslo police district received a missing person report.”
“A missing persons case has been opened, and we have sent out an international warrant for the person,” said it.
When called last Wednesday, September 18, Jose wouldn’t say anything about the pagers and hung up when asked about the business in Bulgaria. He didn’t answer multiple calls and texts.
He left for a conference in Boston on September 17, and Jose’s Norwegian boss, DN Media Group, hasn’t been able to get in touch with him since September 18. His job is in the sales area of the group.
Bulgaria’s corporate register shows that Jose started the company Norta Global Ltd in Sofia in 2022.
Bulgaria has looked into the company’s role in the sale of pagers with hidden bombs, but there is no proof that they were made or sent out of the country.
