In Hanoi, Indonesia’s Prabowo has committed to strengthen relations with Vietnam

President-elect Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia announced on Friday that Vietnam and Indonesia have mutually decided to enhance their existing relationship to a “comprehensive strategic partnership”.

Prabowo delivered a speech in Hanoi whilst on a two-day trip to Vietnam. His meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is anticipated on Saturday.

“Vietnam has consistently been a tremendous ally for us,” he stated at a meeting with To Lam, the President and party leader of Vietnam. “The partnership is highly valued, and I am fully dedicated to improving and advancing this collaboration.”

He replied, “Now, let us assign our teams the responsibility of continuing our efforts towards that objective.”
