Brighton manager Hurzeler is the youngest to win manager of the month

Fabian Hurzeler has been awarded the title of Premier League’s manager of the month for August as he successfully guided Brighton & Hove Albion to an undefeated start to the season in his first month as manager.

Brighton accumulated seven points from their initial three league matches, securing wins against Everton away and Manchester United at home, and earning a draw at Arsenal.

The victor was chosen by amalgamating public votes with those of a panel of football academics. German, the youngest recipient of the accolade, outperformed other contenders, Pep Guardiola of Manchester City and Arne Slot of Liverpool, whose clubs had started the season with a perfect record of nine points.

“Winning a trophy is always gratifying as it validates the quality of your work.” “However, it is not solely my effort – it encompasses the collective efforts of the entire club, including my staff members and players,” Hurzeler said in a statement on Friday.

“Ultimately, each individual involved in the club and our collective unity have been the determining factors in winning this trophy.” Now, my primary focus is on securing victory in the upcoming championship.

The award was won by Australian manager Ange Postecoglou in his inaugural month at Tottenham Hotspur in the preceding season.
