Deal completed! Victor Moses joins an English club

Victor Moses, a former Nigerian international, has joined Luton Town, an English Championship team, on a free transfer.

The 33-year-old has most recently been playing football in Russia with Spartak Moscow, a team he joined in 2021 following a successful loan term from Chelsea during the 2020/21 campaign..

Moses, a right-back-turned-winger, played for a variety of English clubs, including Chelsea FC, West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Stoke City, and Liverpool FC.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of free agent Victor Moses to a permanent contract, subject to international clearance,” stated a Luton statement.

Moses, who was born in Kaduna, Nigeria, played for England’s youth teams. However, he chose to represent Nigeria rather than receive a complete cap for the Three Lions.

Moses debuted for the Super Eagles in 2012 and amassed 38 caps, scoring 12 goals, before retiring from international competition in 2018.

He participated in Nigeria’s successful campaign at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups.
