Beyonce says that being famous is like being in jail

She has said that being famous is like being locked up.

The 43-year-old pop star, who is married to rapper Jay Z and has three children with him, works hard to protect the privacy of her family. She has said that she avoids the spotlight whenever she doesn’t have a work project to push because she won’t give up her “peace” for any amount of money.

“One thing I’ve worked very hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, and that my personal life doesn’t become a brand,” she told GQ magazine.

“It’s simple for famous people to work our lives into their art.” I’ve worked really hard to stick to my rules and keep myself and my family safe. “No amount of money can buy my peace.”

She also said that making songs and starting her SirDavis Whisky brand help her feel better, but that being famous is hard to deal with.

Beyonce said, “Working on the music for [album] ‘Cowboy Carter’ and starting this exciting new drinks project don’t feel like prison or a burden at all.”

In fact, I only work on things that make me feel free. Sometimes fame can feel like jail. This is why you won’t see me on red carpets or while I’m away until I have art to share.

Beyonce also said that she plans her work around her kids’ needs so she can spend as much time with them as possible. Her kids are Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, 6.
