A Russian attack on the city of Kharkiv in Ukraine has resulted in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to 28 others

An airstrike conducted by a Russian guided bomb targeted a residential building and a playground in the northeastern city of Kharkiv, Ukraine. This attack resulted in the unfortunate loss of four lives, including that of a child, and caused injuries to at least 28 individuals, according to local authorities.

Ihor Terekhov reported on Telegram that a child was fatally injured on the playground by the occupiers.

According to the speaker, an additional three individuals lost their lives in a 12-storey residential building that became engulfed in flames due to the impact of the strike.

A video obtained from the website, which was shared by Andriy Yermak, the chief of staff for the president, depicts significant flames and dense black smoke emanating from the upper levels of the structure.

According to Yermak’s statement on Telegram, civilians were once again targeted by Russians.

The city of Kharkiv, which is the second largest in Ukraine, along with its surrounding region, has been consistently subjected to Russian attacks. These attacks have specifically involved the use of highly destructive guided bombs.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has reiterated his request to Western allies to authorize long-range attacks on Russian military air bases in response to the recent attack on Friday.

Zelenskiy stated on Telegram that the occurrence of a strike could have been prevented if our defense forces possessed the capability to neutralize Russian military aircraft at their respective bases.

Russia has consistently denied any intentional targeting of civilians, despite the fact that a significant number of casualties, both fatalities and injuries, have been reported as a result of its military strikes throughout the ongoing full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which has been ongoing for over two and a half years.
