Pirlo terminated as Sampdoria’s manager

The Serie B club, Sampdoria, announced on Thursday that Andrea Pirlo has been dismissed as manager after serving for just over a season.

Sampdoria began the season with two losses and one draw, which resulted in their position as the second-lowest team in the table.

After briefly coaching their under-23 team, Pirlo, who won the World Cup as a player with Italy in 2006, served as Juventus’ coach for one year in 2020-21.
