RFK Jr., an independent candidate for the United States presidency, is expected to withdraw from the campaign, according to ABC News

According to ABC News, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent candidate for the U.S. presidency, intends to withdraw from the race by the end of the week and support Republican former President Donald Trump, according to unidentified sources.

Earlier in the day, Kennedy’s campaign announced that he would deliver a speech to the nation in Arizona on Friday. The speech will focus on “the current historical context and his future.”

In a post on X, an ABC News reporter inquired whether Kennedy would endorse Trump.
Kennedy stated, “I will not confirm or deny that,” as reported by the reporter. “We are not talking about any of that.”

Nicole Shanahan, Kennedy’s running companion, disclosed on Tuesday that Kennedy was contemplating terminating his campaign in order to collaborate with Trump, the Republican nominee for president.

Trump stated to CNN that he would “certainly be open” to Kennedy’s involvement in his administration if the independent candidate withdraws from the race and endorses him.

Kennedy, 70, began his presidential campaign as a Democrat, challenging President Joe Biden for the nomination. He is the son of the late Democratic politician Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy.

Kennedy, an environmental advocate who has disseminated vaccine misinformation, has not yet been eligible for the ballot in numerous states.

In an Ipsos poll conducted this month, Kennedy’s support decreased from 10% the previous month to 4%..
