Barcelona’s manager, Flick, is optimistic that Gundogan will remain this season

Hansi Flick, the new manager of Barcelona, has expressed his expectation that Ilkay Gundogan will remain with the club this season, following reports that suggested the midfielder was considering a departure from the la Liga club.

After joining Barcelona from Manchester City in 2023, the 33-year-old Germany international is currently in the final year of his contract.

After the addition of midfielder Dani Olmo, Spanish media reports suggested that Gundogan, who is one of the highest-earning members of the club, may depart.
