Officially concluded: Tina Knowles’ divorce is finalized, and her former husband, Richard Lawson, will receive a $300,000 lump sum

The divorce of Tina Knowles from Richard Lawson has been finalized.

The 70-year-old businesswoman submitted the agreement, which addresses all outstanding issues between the former couple, after the couple’s relationship officially ended after 8 years of marriage, according to court documents obtained by In Touch. After filing for divorce on July 26, 2023, Knowles consented to pay her ex a substantial, one-time sum.

In their separation, both parties concur that “irreconcilable differences have arisen between the parties, which have led to the irremediable breakdown of the marriage, making it impossible for the parties to live together as husband and wife,” as reported by In Touch.

Knowles was granted a 2018 Tesla, a 2020 Bentley, the Matriarch Book “deal” with Penguin Random House, a 1 percent interest in Kirby Beauty Management LLC, furniture and artwork in her possession, and all creative works, ideas, drafts, and other materials generated by Tina during the marriage. This pertains to their property.

The following were awarded to Lawson: a 2021 Cadillac Escalade, numerous bank and retirement accounts, all monies owed to Richard Lawson Studios, any royalties earned, and all creative works he developed during the union. Tina also consented to a one-time payment of $300,000, and both parties agreed that they would not receive spousal support in the future.

The divorce settlement also contained a non-disparagement clause that forbids either party from disparaging the other or the other’s offspring and their spouses.

“The parties agree that they will not discuss the privacy rights of any and all present or future grandchildren of either party, whether verbally or in writing, when requested by any media or individual,” stated another provision, according to the outlet.

Given this, it appears that we will not receive any additional information regarding this divorce, with the exception of the legal documents.
