Bruno Fernandes has extended his contract with Manchester United

Manchester United issued a statement on Wednesday detailing the signing of Bruno Fernandes to a new contract.

In June 2026, the 29-year-old’s initial contract was scheduled to expire.

But Manchester United officials are satisfied with their captain’s performance and believed it was important to offer him a new contract.

“The club has confirmed that Bruno Fernandes has signed a new contract that will extend his tenure at Manchester United until June 30, 2027, with the option of an additional year.”

“Everyone is aware of the enthusiasm I possess for Manchester United,” Bruno Fernandes stated. The level of dedication and desire necessary to represent this extraordinary club, as well as the responsibility and significance of donning this uniform, are well-known to me.

“I have already experienced numerous memorable moments at Old Trafford, including hearing my name sung from the Stretford End, scoring a hat-trick against Leeds, leading the team out on European nights, and lifting trophies at Wembley.”. However, Bruno stated, “I would not have signed this contract if I did not believe that my most memorable moments in a United shirt are yet to come.”

“It is evident from my conversations with the football leadership and manager that everyone is resolute in their pursuit of significant trophies in the years ahead. The future appears to be quite optimistic, and I am eager to guide this team in its future endeavors.
