T.I. and Tiny Celebrate Legal Win as California Sexual Assault Case Dropped

Following the formal dismissal of a California sexual assault lawsuit against T.I. and his wife Tiny, they are commemorating a significant legal triumph. The couple’s agent told AllHipHop Friday, August 9 that an anonymous woman’s case, started earlier this year, had been dropped.

“The court agreed with Tip and Tameka that Jane Doe lacks any valid claims,” the representative said. “As Tip and Tameka said three years ago, these allegations are just part of a series of false and sensational claims made to extress money from them.”

T.I., actual name Clifford Harris, asked Tiny last month that the matter be dropped. Originally brought in January under the name Jane Doe, the case claimed wrongful detention, sexual violence, assault, and negligence connected to a 2005 occurrence. The couple said at the time the plaintiff had been threatening to bring a case for three years.

The couple’s counsel said in their request to dismiss that the claims were time-barred as the statue of limitations had expired over 16 years ago. ” Further, even while Mr. and Mrs. Harris dispute that any of the claimed activities have happened, the complaint fails to give enough evidence to substantiate any of the claims,” the attorney said.

Jane Doe is now unable to refile her complaint as the court dismissed the case totally.

The complaint claims that T.I. and Tiny came upon the plaintiff—who was Air Force personnel at the time—in a Los Angeles nightclub. The lady said Tiny could have tampered with her drink, which resulted in her and two other ladies finding herself in a hotel room with the couple. She said that T.I. left her in agony and confused by allegedly improper behavior in spite of her concerns. The pair may finally close this chapter though, with the case dropped.
