Luis Enrique prevents Victor Osimhen’s move to PSG

According to reports, PSG head coach Luis Enrique has advised against the club’s acquisition of Victor Osimhen, despite the player’s strong interest in joining the French giants this summer.

Osimhen is considering a departure from Napoli after spending four seasons in Italy, during which he achieved the remarkable feat of winning the Scudetto in the 2022-2023 season with the Parteonpei.

Nevertheless, the Napoli board, particularly the club’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis, is posing challenges for him with a €13M price tag that several clubs, including PSG, consider to be overly expensive.

Despite the French club’s offer of €90m, Napoli has rejected it, insisting on a minimum of €100m for the Super Eagle.

According to a report from French outlet L’Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique is not interested in having Victor Osimhen in his squad, adding another layer of complexity to the deal.

In the opinion of the Spanish coach, Osimhen is not a suitable fit for his style of play. He expresses satisfaction with the current duo of centre-forwards in his team, namely Portugal’s Gonçalo Ramos and France’s Randal Kolo Muani.

Furthermore, Osimhen has received offers from Saudi clubs such as Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli, but his main focus is to remain in Europe due to his age of 25.
