Ice Spice clarifies that she and Nicki Minaj are on good terms, despite previously referring to her as “delusional” in leaked texts. She emphasizes that she has no problem with Latto either

Ice Spice is clarifying her relationships with her fellow rap girls.

In her recent cover story for Rolling Stone, the rapper discussed all the topics that fans have been curious about lately.

As mentioned in RS’s story, text messages sent by Ice Spice to a former friend were revealed online earlier this year. Ice Spice expressed their frustration when discussing contract details with Nicki Minaj. Due to the challenges she faced, she described her “Barbie World” collaborator as someone who had unrealistic expectations and did not appreciate the opportunities given to them.

Both rappers remained silent about the leak, fueling rampant speculation on the internet about the status of their previously tight-knit bond. Now Ice is clarifying the facts.

Our relationship isn’t exactly the closest, you know? According to Ice Spice, she assured Rolling Stone that her friendship with Minaj is solid. We have a mutual connection. We achieved remarkable success together…I enjoy our companionship. I believe the world feels the same way.

As expected, the relationship between Ice and the friend who leaked those texts was negatively affected.

“It’s truly disheartening to realize that someone I had known and considered a friend for many years could betray my trust and exploit my vulnerability for their own personal gain,” expressed the rapper. That was the most disheartening aspect, simply feeling taken advantage of.

In another part of her interview, the Bronx native also discussed her alleged conflicts with Latto and other women in the rap industry.

Ice expressed their belief that the narrative surrounding drama between female rappers has become obsolete. There are numerous female rap artists who have achieved significant success all at once. It’s not a matter of choosing one or the other. There are now a wide variety of flavors to choose from.

When discussing Latto, particularly the “Deli” rapper, she maintains that there are no issues, at least not from her perspective.

“If we ever spoke and I asked her, ‘What’s the issue?’ I can imagine her responding with a blank stare,” Ice says. It wouldn’t be a problem at all. Especially coming from me.

Referring to Latto seemingly dissing her with a cake referencing one of Ice Spice’s songs, she dismisses it as a tired joke that the other rapper has been trying to capitalize on for too long.

Ice expressed his frustration with the ongoing competition, stating that it has become a tiresome and unfunny ordeal. “Think U the S**t” is actually from January, dude. Are you seriously planning to share a less-than-ideal announcement in such an unappealing manner? It’s actually quite flattering that you’re turning a joyful moment into something centered around me… once more.
