Security sources report that Iraq hanged ten guys who were found guilty of terrorism

Ten extremists who had been found guilty of terrorism were hanged in Iraq on Monday, according to security sources.

According to the sources, all of the people put to death were citizens of Iraq, and the executions took place at a prison in the city of Nassiriya in southern Iraq.
According to them, the 10 men were found guilty of committing “serious terrorist crimes” and joining the extremist Islamic State group.

Due to a “disturbing lack of transparency” regarding executions in Iraq in recent months, Amnesty International expressed fear that many more people may have been executed in secret after Iraq executed 11 terrorists who had been granted death sentences on terrorism-related charges in April.

Since defeating Islamic State forces in a military war backed by the United States in 2014–2017, Iraq has held numerous mass executions and tried hundreds of suspected jihadists.
