Mwamnyeto decides to remain longer at Young Africans

Bakari Mwamnyeto, the captain of Yanga SC, has decided to continue with the team until 2026.

His contract renewal was announced in the midst of rumors that he was about to leave the titans of Jangwani Street.

He was strongly rumored to be joining Simba, Yanga’s longtime rival, but it is no longer likely to happen since his relationship with his current club is strengthened. He is currently the third player at the defending Premier League winners to agree to extend their contract.

Others include Farid Mussa, whose contract with the club was extended until 2026, indicating a continued need for his skills.

In a similar vein, Djigui Diarra, the team’s first-choice goalie, doubled his deal for an additional two years.

As for Yanga, they have only signed one player thus far, Clatous Chama, who joined Simba’s army of yellow and green.
