LeBron James and his son Bronny were offered money by rapper Lil Durk to play for the Chicago Bulls
Lil Durk used social media to his advantage and sent LeBron a direct message at first.
Rapper Lil Durk of Chicago is particularly interested in the 2024 NBA Draft and has even volunteered to donate money to his hometown team in order to acquire father-son basketball players Lebron James and Bronny James.
Using social media, the 31-year-old rapper first texted LeBron, 39, directly on Tuesday, June 25, saying, “You and bronny come to Chicago bulls s**t I’ll pay you if I got to,” according to Billboard. Durk posted a second message on his Instagram Stories, saying, “Idc if I got to go half @ChicagoBulls it’s time lol,” to make sure the message was understood.
Matas Buzelis, who stood out for shooting the ball under 30% from 3-point range during his one season with the Ignite, was taken by the Chicago Bulls on the opening night of the NBA Draft, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Bronny, 19, was not taken by any team after the first night of the NBA Draft this year. Despite this, fans of the father and son are still excited to see which team will select him because it might be historic if he is selected.
Bronny and LeBron would become the first father and son to actively play together in NBA history if they were selected by the Lakers. However, that depends not only on whether the team selects Bronny in the draft, but also on LeBron’s decision to play on rather than retire, according to Yahoo! Sports.
In April, Bronny posted on Instagram to announce his NBA Draft declaration. “This year has been up and down for me, but it has all contributed to my development as a man, a student, and an athlete. I’ve decided to use my collegiate eligibility to enter the NBA Draft, and I’ll also be using the NCAA transfer site.
“Thank you to USC for an amazing freshman year, and as always, I’m grateful for the support of my family, friends, doctors, athletic trainers, and fans,” he concluded.
