Premier League interest in the Gambia forward is intense

Ahead of the 2024–2025 season, two Premier League clubs are reportedly considering Gambia star Yankuba Minteh, according to recent claims in the English football media.

For Feyenoord, an Eredivisie team, the 19-year-old had a fantastic 23–24 season, scoring 11 goals in 37 games overall.

Olympique Lyon, a French team, has reportedly made contact with Minteh this weekend due to his recent improvement in form. Though Newcastle has been monitoring Minteh’s current circumstances, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims that Minteh has selected Everton as his desired destination.

Romano stated, “Yankub Minteh is prioritizing Everton as his preferred destination with a desire to play in the Premier League.”

“Newcastle, notified of his desire to sign with Everton.

“Olympique Lyon, who made contact for Minteh this weekend, is interested,” it was disclosed Tuesday.
