Morocco provides Gaza with 40 tons of medical supplies

40 tons of medical supplies have been shipped by Morocco to Palestinians living in Gaza, a war-torn region, the Moroccan foreign ministry announced on Monday.

It added that children’s medication was included in the assistance, along with surgical instruments and materials for treating burns and fractures.

According to a senior diplomatic source who spoke to Reuters, the aid was delivered by air and will be placed into Palestinian red crescent trucks at the Kerem Shalom border crossing. Morocco used this route for the first time to distribute relief in March.

Moroccan authorities claim that they are defending Palestinian rights and promoting peace through their links to Israel, yet since the start of the Gaza War, there have been several demonstrations against these ties in Moroccan cities.

According to Israeli estimates, terrorists led by Hamas rushed into southern Israel on October 7, murdering about 1,200 people and taking over 250 prisoners. This led to Israel initiating its land and air war in Gaza.

According to Palestinian health authorities, the Israeli offensive in reprisal has killed over 37,600 Palestinians and destroyed most of Gaza.
