Kuffour: Essien is incredibly wealthy

In response to reports that Michael Essien, a former teammate from Ghana, is in danger of going bankrupt, Sammy Kuffour has jumped to his defense.

This week, reports from Ghana surfaced indicating that Essien is having financial difficulties as a result of a court order to sell two of his properties, which are reportedly located in East Legon and the Adjiringano neighborhood of Accra.

Additionally, it’s said that the former Chelsea player has been having trouble repaying loans obtained in his own nation, prompting the court to step in.

Kuffour, nevertheless, maintains that the rumors are untrue and has asked domestic media outlets to thoroughly check the news before covering stories of this nature.

“I believe that we must defend our own. As a nation, we are constantly seeking to repress people. Michael Essien and I are close friends. In an interview with writer Saddick Adams, the former Bayern Munich defender claimed, “People have no idea about the enormous wealth he has.”

“I received calls regarding Essien’s problem. Before we respond to this news when it breaks, we must do thorough investigations. Essien is surrounded by relatives and friends. We must show them deference.
