Amidst a nasty divorce, Jeezy wants the judge to order a “Parental Fitness” exam for both him and Jeannie Mai

In a recent declaration, Jeezy is asking for “relief” in his legal battle with his separated wife, Jeannie Mai. The rapper is requesting “joint physical custody” of their daughter in addition to a judge ordering a “parental fitness exam” for him and Mai.

The reason for this filing is that Jeezy’s calm parenting was attested to by his daughter’s caregiver and his ex-partner Mahi. Despite court battles regarding child support, Mahi highlighted Jeezy’s kind personality.

The former talk show host has accused Jeezy of domestic abuse after he filed for divorce from Jeannie Mai; claims that he has refuted.

Jeezy is requesting that his divorce judge order a “Parental Fitness Assessment.”

Rapper Jeezy has requested multiple reliefs from the judge in his divorce, including joint physical custody of his daughter Monaco, according to a recent court document that The Blast was able to get.

Jeezy requests that the court overseeing the matter “order” him and Mai to undergo a “parental fitness evaluation” and grant him “joint physical custody of” their “minor child.”

In addition, he asks the judge to “award temporary child support pursuant to statutory guidelines” and for the court to enter his proposed “temporary parenting plan order.”

Jeezy has requested in the application that the judge schedule his divorce’s “final trial” for “the next available trial calendar.”

Mahi, the rapper’s ex, speaks up in support of him

Women who are close to Jeezy have offered him support amid Mai’s accusations of abuse.

Mahi, who is the mother of the 10-year-old daughter of the “Soul Survivor” rapper, Amra Nor Jenkins, filed an affidavit confirming Jeezy’s “peaceful” disposition.

Mahi calls her former partner “devoted, caring, and present Father to our daughter and his oldest child [Jadarius Jenkins, 28]” in court records that The Blast was able to get.

“Jay’s oldest child lived with us for almost four years, and I got to watch their relationship blossom every day,” she continued. Jay never mistreated me or his kids physically, psychologically, or emotionally.”

She sued Jeezy in 2020 for not paying $10,000 a month for their kid, and despite their legal battles over child support, Mahi highlights that Jeezy is “one of the most peaceful people” she has ever known.

Jeezy is described by the estranged couple’s nanny as a “loving father.”

Jeezy further solicited his own and Mai’s nanny’s endorsement of his parenting abilities. The nanny, Minhee Hoffler, testified in an affidavit that Jeezy was a “loving” father to his two kids, Amra and Monaco.

“As a caretaker, I believe Mr. Jenkins gives his daughters the support they need as they grow into young women in the future,” she said, praising his commitment and diligence. She continued, “Mr. Jenkins is a hardworking person, but even a more hardworking dad.”

In a statement to the journal, Mai’s representative, however, refuted these allegations, stating that “Mr. Jenkins is trying to distort the truth once more by employing people to file false statements and claims against Ms. Mai, attempting to contradict real-time evidence and factual events.”

They stated that they were prepared to refute these claims, as reported on Page Six, and that “we are eager to present all the evidence in court.”

The rapper calls Jeannie Mai’s allegations of abuse “malicious” and denies them.

Mai accused Jeezy of choking her and shoving her down the steps at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in San Francisco on April 14, 2022, in a court file dated April.

The TV personality said that she felt “unsafe” because of Jeezy’s conduct and that’s when security stepped in and offered to protect her.

Jeezy, however, angrily refuted these claims, labeling them “malicious.” “The allegations are not only false but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved,” he said, expressing his profound displeasure.

“This malicious attempt to damage my reputation and upend my family is absurd,” he went on. The deception and manipulation going on is depressing, and for now, I’m more concerned with being a present father to our kid than I am with pursuing four-man required joint custody.”

The Timeline of Jeezy and Jeannie Mai’s Relationship

On March 27, 2021, Jeezy and Mai tied the knot in their Atlanta home after three years of courtship. Former “The Real” host told Vogue: “We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to celebrate, but we had to change all of our wedding plans due to COVID.”

“We quickly realized that life is too short after Jeezy’s mother passed away unexpectedly,” she said. “At the end of the day, Jeezy and I genuinely just wanted to become husband and wife. We therefore made the decision to modify our initial wedding into a mini-wedding in which we spoke our vows in front of our close friends and family.”

The couple welcomed Monaco, their child, in January 2022. But after two years of marriage, in September 2023, the Grammy-nominated performer filed for divorce from Mai, claiming that their relationship was “irretrievably broken.”
