Chelsea have officially announced the acquisition of Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham on a free transfer

Chelsea have strengthened their defensive squad with the acquisition of Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham on a four-year contract, secured on a free transfer.

Chelsea has acquired the services of Tosin Adarabioyo, a talented defender from Fulham. The 26-year-old has joined the Blues on a four-year deal, marking an exciting addition to the team. Adarabioyo, who joined when his contract expired at the end of the month, made the move to play in Europe after Chelsea qualified for next season’s Europa Conference League.

In April, he turned down an offer from Fulham to join their roster as one of their top earners.

Joining Chelsea is a significant milestone for me, as it feels like coming full circle. I was fortunate enough to be born just a few miles away from Stamford Bridge, which holds a special place in my heart. It was there that I had the incredible opportunity to make my professional debut.

Adarabioyo stated. “I am filled with enthusiasm and eagerly anticipate contributing to the club’s desired trajectory.”

Chelsea is looking to Adarabioyo to enhance their performance in both offensive and defensive set-pieces.

In addition, coach Bernardo Cueva was brought on board in a £750,000 deal from Brentford to oversee the establishment of a dedicated set-piece department.

Adarabioyo’s arrival may hasten the potential departure of Chelsea academy defender Trevoh Chalobah, who is reportedly attracting interest from Manchester United and is available for sale this summer.

Thiago Silva, 39, has departed from Chelsea and made a return to his former Brazilian club, Fluminense.
