After being detained for allegedly possessing drugs, Nicki Minaj was released

After being held for suspected drug possession, rapper Nicki Minaj was freed by Amsterdam police. After marijuana was discovered in her hands, Minaj had already recorded a heated conversation with the police, during which they warned her outright that she was going to be detained.

But Minaj insisted that the marijuana “pre-rolls” belonged to her security crew instead of her. Following the rapper’s stunning arrest, her admirers, the Barbz, took to social media to demand her release, making the hashtag #FreeNicki trend on X.

The rapper was reportedly arrested for allegedly possessing soft drugs, but the police later released her.

The Netherlands police announced on X (formerly Twitter) that she had been punished and given permission to “continue her journey.”

Minaj was traveling from Amsterdam to Manchester for her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” when she was detained by police.

Minaj disclosed that she was attempted to be arrested by Amsterdam cops for suspected drug possession through Instagram Live and other postings on X.

An official can be heard in the live stream declaring that they plan to arrest the “Pink Friday” hitmaker for allegedly “carrying drugs,” a claim that she has angrily refuted.

“Now they said they found weed and that another group of people have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls,” the rapper said on Saturday via X.

“Remember that they took my bags without my permission,” she said. They’ve already been informed by my security that those pre-rolls are his. And the pilot requests that I remove my Instagram post.”

The rapper disclosed in a subsequent update that she was instructed by the police to “go 5 mins away to make a statement about my security to the police precinct.”

“I refuse to enter that area. “I require legal representation,” Minaj emphasized. Nevertheless, as shown in the video she uploaded online, the 41-year-old eventually got into a police car in spite of her objections.

After that, Minaj voiced concern over her performance, but an officer informed her that they would do all in their power to “get her there” as quickly as possible.

Minaj posted a streaming video to Instagram with the following caption: “They’ve been trying to stop me from going to every show.” My bags were taken by them before I even noticed. Place it into the aircraft. They are now claiming to be awaiting customs. This is what happens when someone pays a lot of money to try to ruin a tour when all other options have been exhausted. Every action they’ve taken is prohibited.”

Fans of Minaj started using the hashtag #FreeNicki to protest the arrest over on X. The rapper’s devoted followers, known as “Barbz,” also posted footage of sizable crowds waiting for Minaj to arrive in Manchester in the hopes that she would be freed in time for her performance.

Someone wrote, “Nicki better sue that WHOLE COUNTRY when she gets out and smokes the blunt she was arrested for.”

Another said, “She takes care of all of this for us. She loves her fans too much to tour, even though she doesn’t have to. I’ve learned from this experience that we need to work even harder for her. We’re not worthy of her. #FreeNicki.

It’s Nicki’s fourth global tour. She is accustomed to touring [routes], visiting other countries, obeying foreign regulations, and passing through customs for private aircraft. Trust her when she says she knows why things aren’t right. #FreeNicki,” wrote a third admirer.

The rapper was quite critical of her old group, saying they were doing everything in their power to make her tour look bad.

“They try to make me book another jet every time,” she said, accusing them of purposefully impeding her travel arrangements. All [because] I sacked [management], who I discovered had been pilfering and adding to my jet for years. Recently, I fired a tour manager because he was acting in the same way and was upset about being fired. Their intention is to delay me and get $40,000.”

In a subsequent tweet, Minaj stated, “They’re trying to make me late so they can write bad stories.” An illness is jealousy. The rest is known to you.”

Pink Friday 2 World Tour’s second leg in the United States was triumphantly revealed by Minaj prior to her encounter with the police in Amsterdam.

Almost a year after beginning the first leg in November, she announced on social media that she will be returning to the United States in September.

She wrote, “Barbz, we did it.” “I was offered a second leg of the #PinkFriday2 #GAGCITY TOUR, beginning in September, because the first leg in the United States was so successful. Tickets will be on sale in a few more days if you sign up now.”

“Wow,” she continued. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. God is benevolent. You should never give up. You’re capable of this. Come on, let’s go! #AnnouncementNicki.”
