Williams is named the African MVP of LaLiga by EA Sports | ZoneYetu

After a spectacular season in which he scored 12 goals, Inaki Williams was named the best African player in the league by the LA LIGA EA SPORTS African MVP, a prestigious award that honors outstanding talent in the league.

The Ghanaian international and forward for Athletic Club was declared the victor after a hard-fought voting procedure, winning over both the judges and the supporters.

Williams finished the season with an astounding 46 points, or 24% of the vote, demonstrating his unmatched talent and commitment. Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz, an international player from Morocco, came in second with 37 points, closely followed by fellow Moroccan Youssef En-Nesyri of Sevilla FC with 30 points.

Through a rigorous voting process that included fan votes in addition to a jury composed of 31 African journalists, points were granted to each player depending on their performance.

Three points were awarded for the top player, two for the runner-up, and one for the third-place finisher. In the event of a tie, the winner was the player who had the most selections overall.

The legendary Andoni Goikoetxea of Athletic Club presented the award to Inaki Williams, who said, “Thank you very much for the acknowledgment.” Representing all African players in La Liga is an honor. My affection for Athletic Club and Bilbao are as profound as my roots in Ghana. Next season, I want to be vying for the same prize.

One of the most fiercely contested runs in recent memory took place for the LALIGA EA SPORTS African MVP.
