Simba SC continues to follow Yanga SC in the standings following Dodoma Jiji’s victory

Simba SC defeated Dodoma Jiji 1-0 at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma on Friday, raising their hopes of placing second in the Tanzanian NBC Premier League this season.

After the win, Simba’s total points from 27 games stood at 60, matching Azam FC’s total points and appearances. The opportunity to represent the nation in the CAF Champions League the next season is up for grabs for the second place, which is contested by both.

With 71 points from 27 games, Young Africans (Yanga SC) have already been proclaimed the season’s winners; no other team on the log can catch up to them.

As a result, Simba and Azam are still engaged in a tight competition to claim the second spot. The results of the final three games will decide the outcome. Freddy Michael’s incredible shot in the seventh minute of the game gave the visitors the lead.

Even though they were behind, the hosts kept applying pressure to Simba in an effort to tie the score. They were unable to locate the net’s back, though. At the conclusion of the game, Dodoma Jiji had 30 points from 27 games, good for 11th place on the ladder.
