After the release of the “gut-wrenching” video of Diddy attacking Cassie, Hollywood stars criticize Diddy
Following the release of new video showing Diddy abusing his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a 2016 Los Angeles hotel incident, Emily Ratajkowski and other celebrities have expressed their dismay. Diddy can be seen viciously beating Cassie and hauling her back into a room in the footage.
Both 50 Cent and Aubrey O’Day have attacked Diddy, with 50 Cent mockingly bringing up Diddy’s earlier denial of the accusations. Claudia Jordan denounced those who had stood up for Diddy, while Alex Fine, Cassie’s husband, wrote a moving letter denouncing those who abuse their power.
A lot of celebrities, including Ratajkowski, are speaking out against the horrifying footage that shows Diddy abusing singer Cassie physically.
In the video, which CNN was able to get, Diddy—real name Sean Combs—is seen pursuing Cassie down the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City while sporting no shirt and a towel around his waist. He took her by the back of her head and threw her to the floor as she tried to get into an elevator.
She laid there looking stunned as the music producer kicked her and grabbed the two bags she was carrying. After giving her another kick, Diddy pulled her by her sweatshirt back to their room.
After seeing the unsettling video on X (formerly Twitter), Ratajkowski commented, “Monster.”
After Diddy removed her from Danity Kane in 2008, singer Aubrey O’Day, who had previously collaborated with him, became an outspoken critic. In response to the unsettling video, she wrote, “It seems like the picture is becoming more and more clear for everyone.”
“Abuse survivors or anyone that triggers easily might not want to watch (images are disturbing),” she added as a warning. Diddy, Cassie, and Kimporter. I’m praying for all of his victims.”
Rapper 50 Cent, with whom Diddy has a long-standing dispute, responded on Instagram to the graphic footage of him hitting Cassie.
“Now I’m sure Puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing!” he sarcastically said beside a video of the incident that he had reposted. God help us all, this is what his lawyers are going to say.”
After that, 50 Cent posted a statement that Diddy had made in December refuting a number of allegations related to sex crimes: “People who are desperate for quick cash have made horrific claims about me. To be crystal clear, I did not do any of the horrible things that are being said. I’m going to battle for the truth, my family, and my name.”
In light of the recently released hotel video, 50 Cent reflected on Diddy’s earlier claims and wrote: “The lie detector test has determined this was a lie. Maury vibes.”
The actress Claudia Jordan of “Deal Or No Deal” discussed the graphic video clip on her Instagram page.
The TV personality criticized some who supported Diddy in a tweet that said, “And some people were really STILL defending this man and saying Cassie was just’money hungry.'” Remember, this is what transpired when she attempted to leave him.”
Frustrated, she went on, “Women need surveillance footage, medical records, and 50-11 witnesses to kind of get believed, but it’s still our fault for ‘putting ourselves in these situations.'” SMH!!”
“If this is how you treated someone you ‘loved,’ Diddy, I can only imagine the horrors your opponents or opponents endured,” Jordan continued. My prayers are with all of Sean Combs’ victims, both alive and dead.
“Also, STOP making excuses for people you like just because they are rich or celebrities,” she said in an address to her followers. People never investigate the intentions of the accused abuser; instead, they label women who speak the truth about these money-grubbing beasts as wh-res.”
“When the abuser is even somewhat successful, it’s so hard to get sympathy and support,” she continued. Indeed, celebrities, actresses, podcasters, rappers, singers, politicians, comedians, sportsmen, Super Bowl champions, and local DJs can all be ruthless mistreatment victims.”
Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, also responded angrily, posting on X: “Put Diddy in jail. Delete the key. Give the key to the person who had the footage and remained silent. Holy f–k, that is.”
Alex Fine, Cassie’s spouse, published a moving “Letter to women and children,” which he had penned “a while back.” He included the following quote in his passionate message: “Men who hit women aren’t men.” Men aren’t men if they support it and shield those people.”
“Hold the women in your life with the utmost regard,” Fine advised his followers, noting that “men who hurt women hate women.”
“You’re done, you’re not safe anymore, you’re not protected anymore,” he said, addressing the perpetrators. The males next you are equally feeble. You would consider [death] a kindness since you are so miserable with yourself.”
Douglas Wigdor, Cassie’s attorney, issued a statement denouncing Diddy’s behavior following the release of the video. “The heartbreaking video has only further confirmed Mr. Combs’ disturbing and predatory behavior,” he stated. The bravery and tenacity displayed by Ms. Ventura in speaking up and bringing this to light are beyond words.”
Cassie claimed in a lawsuit filed the previous year that she first met Diddy in 2005, when he was 37 and she was 19. She joined his label shortly after, and he acquaints her with his “ostentatious, fast-paced, and drug-fueled lifestyle.”
The singer of “Me & U” claimed that when they started dating in 2007, Diddy soon started abusing them severely. Cassie stated that the rapper would give her “savage” beatings, frequently punching, kicking, and stomping on her, and that he was “prone to uncontrollable rage”.
According to the lawsuit, Diddy used a variety of strong medications on Cassie and made her have sex with other guys. The rapper would frequently get caught masturbating during these interactions, which were videotaped. She also disclosed other instances of Diddy raping her, one of which occurred in 2018 when she attempted to break up with him.
