Mohamed Salah has two replacements named by the Liverpool legend should he depart Anfield

The great John Barnes of Liverpool has identified two individuals he believes can succeed Mohamed Salah should the Egyptian star depart Melwood at the end of the season.

Over the course of the season, Salah’s near future has been a hot topic in European football and has been strongly associated with a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Salah has not yet decided on his future, but Arne Slot, who will take over for Jurgen Klopp in the coming months, is likely to somewhat restructure Liverpool. Barnes claims that in order to replace the prolific goal scorer, Liverpool could consider players like Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace.

Barnes said to My Betting Sites, “Michael Olise could play for Liverpool, City, Arsenal, he could play for any of those clubs.”

“He’s got a great attitude and great ability, but Liverpool would want to take that out of his game. He should probably stop showboating like he did against United on Monday.”

“He and Eze are both very gifted, in my opinion, but Olise puts forth more effort—especially off the ball.

“If Mo were to leave the team and Liverpool wanted to bring in someone to replace him, Eze and Olise are players that I would like to see at the club. He can play for any of the big clubs.”
